4/30/2023 0 Comments Anomaly 2 localHowever, he found that the clock ran too slowly in Cayenne, compared with the apparent motion of the stars. Richter was equipped with a highly precise pendulum clock which had been carefully calibrated at Paris before his departure. ![]() Gravity anomalies were first discovered in 1672, when the French astronomer, Jean Richter, established an observatory on the island of Cayenne. For Earth, the reference ellipsoid is the International Reference Ellipsoid, and the value of gravity predicted for points on the ellipsoid is the normal gravity, g n. Gravity on the surface of this reference ellipsoid is then given by a simple formula which only contains the latitude. Typically the model is based on simplifying assumptions, such as that, under its self-gravitation and rotational motion, the planet assumes the figure of an ellipsoid of revolution. The gravity anomaly is the difference between the observed acceleration of an object in free fall ( gravity) on a planet's surface, and the corresponding value predicted from a model of the planet's gravitational field. Careful analysis of the gravity data allows geologists to make inferences about the subsurface geology. The Bouguer, free-air, and isostatic gravity anomalies are each based on different theoretical corrections to the value of gravity.Ī gravity survey is conducted by measuring the gravity anomaly at many locations in a region of interest, using a portable instrument called a gravimeter. For example, a mass of dense ore below the surface will give a positive anomaly due to the increased gravitational attraction of the ore.ĭifferent theoretical models will predict different values of gravity, and so a gravity anomaly is always specified with reference to a particular model. This gravity anomaly can reveal the presence of subsurface structures of unusual density. The theoretical value of gravity can be corrected for altitude and the effects of nearby terrain, but it usually still differs slightly from the measured value. However, the Earth has a rugged surface and nonuniform composition, which distorts its gravitational field. If the Earth were an ideal oblate spheroid of uniform density, then the gravity measured at every point on its surface would be given precisely by a simple formula. ![]() The gravity anomaly at a location on the Earth's surface is the difference between the observed value of gravity and the value predicted by a theoretical model. Beagles are famous pets due to their size, good humor, and reduction of obtained health problems. ![]() ![]() However, we know that modern-day beagles truly lived in England throughout the Roman Empire era, probably before that. The latest breed was exhibited in England approximately in the 1830s from different breeds, including the Talbot Hound, the North Country Beagle, the Southern Hound, and possibly the Harrier.īeagles are a really old dog breed, which performs dating their accurate origins difficult. The beagle is a fragrance follower that is related in features to the larger foxhound. The smooth was the first and arose from a mixture of a small French pointer and a pinscher. The three categories of the dachshund, smooth, wire, and long-coated, were introduced at various times. “Dach” means badger, and “hund” means dog. The dachshund was bred in Germany hundreds of years ago to hunt badgers. It’s believed they’ve been approximate from the 15th century, but it wasn’t until the 17th century that the breed began being produced in Germany to hunt dogs. But, overall, crossbreeds tend to be healthier dogs because of higher generative variation in their bloodlines.ĭoxle believed that the intention of breeding Dachshunds with Beagles is to generate offspring that are small to medium associate dogs that are as loving and friendly as the parent breeds without the health obstacles that come from productions of pure breeds.ĭachshunds were basically developed in Germany as hunting dogs to flush badgers from their setts. Regrettably, not many known histories of designer breed since they’ve only become more famous in the last few decades. In some cases, it might need to be retrained to become obedient. As a mix of two pure breeds, the Doxle is a designer dog. It is very important to reward your dog with praise when it performs a certain behavior. Both types are food motivated, so early training is important.Ī Dachshund will respond best to positive reinforcement. It’s important to remember that these dogs are not always melodramatic, but they are also very loyal and clingy. Some Doxiepoos have thick coats, though, so you’ll need to brush them weekly or even daily. As a rule, Doxiepoo coats are low-shedders and hypoallergenic. Some are long and floppy, and others have the short, harsh coat of the Dachshund. Don’t worry, it’s completely normal to see your new dog’s energy levels fluctuate, and a Poodle Dachshund mix doesn’t have any problems with that.Ī Doxiepoo’s coat can vary, depending on the parent breeds. It may take a while before you see a noticeable difference in your dog. For additional exercise, you should take your new pet on daily walks. This breed enjoys yard play and walks in the park. About 60 minutes of daily exercise and playtime is enough to keep this dog happy. 4/30/2023 0 Comments Vcu swipes![]() I also always see people at the end of the semester handing out swipes like candy as well. That way you know for sure that VCU isn’t getting ridiculously overcompensated for a meal (such as the Panda Express example) that they didn’t even make. I also think that swipes shouldn’t be able to be used for a meal at places like franchised restaurants. For example, I prefer to load my Starbucks app only when I know I am going to order a drink that day. For example, instead of having those ridiculous swipes, you should just be able to reload swipes to your VCU card in whatever amount you want. I honestly wish they would just phase out “meal plans” altogether. I also prefer to pack my own meals or to eat at the locally-owned shops in the area. It would be really impractical for me, who only schedules classes that end at or around 2 a the latest, to be able to use a decent enough amount of swipes or dining dollars to feel like that investment is worth it. My last reason is when they don’t have the full menu available for swipes it is always the worst things, for instance, one of the workers at Freshii told me “they literally put the worst things from the normal on the swipe menu you might as well use dining dollars.” I realize some of these might be unpreventable like the meals not totaling $8.66 but others, like the swipe menus and times, could definitely be changed.Īs a commuting student, I decided against buying a meal plan for this exact reason. Another example is at Panda Express if you get the honey walnut shrimp you have to pay an extra swipe even though it is normally an extra charge of $1.25. A swipe is supposed to be worth about $8.66 but in most cases what VCU offers is worth less than that amount, for instance, the “premium desserts” at Shafer are a swipe each which is ridiculous in my opinion. If you are a freshman on campus you have to have at least 200 swipes, which for me is way too much because of the reasons I have previously mentioned and having dining dollars, so usually, people try to get some extra things that cost swipes in order to use them but in reality these things are not worth a swipe so you are still technically wasting money. Then there are the places that only do swipes once a week which makes the lines ridiculously long and makes it frustrating to get the food. Another reason the times are inconvenient is that the students that commute and have a meal plan have to stay on campus until they can actually use their swipes where they want. One of the reasons I do not like this is because most of the swipe times are at night and with the number of crime alerts we get we should all know that is not the ideal time to be out and about. I do not like that most places have specific times for swipes. ![]() ![]() I love that VCU has swipes because you can get a whole meal for just a swipe, but I do not like a lot of things about them. 4/30/2023 0 Comments Mayor goodway paw patrol![]() ![]() The pups must bring them home and solve the mystery of the frog pond phantom. There are three basic mission types: story missions, which are long, exciting, and full of multiple objectives across relatively large, open levels tedious defense missions in which you hunker down at your base and fight off wave after wave of enemies and expedition missions that are usually quick supply-gathering runs or rescues. ![]() “Those gripes aside, when it works there are things to like about Overkill’s The Walking Dead. While the difficulty does scale a bit, most non-wave-based defense missions are still far too overwhelming to realistically complete alone. Instead, you’re forced to go in alone and just try to wing it. There are no bots, as has been pretty much standard in this genre since Left 4 Dead, if you want to fly solo. This issue is compounded by the fact that you absolutely have to play with other people if you want to play at all. There aren’t many spots where you can stop, take a break, and type out a message to strangers on the internet asking them to deliver an item to the drop-off point. Communication is a massive focus of Overkill’s The Walking Dead and naturally in-game text chat doesn’t cut it in the heat of battle. Sure, you can talk with friends through Steam or Discord, but there’s no easy way to talk to people you randomly match with without adding them as a friend on Steam. “It’s absolutely baffling that, in a new co-op multiplayer game released in 2018, there is no built-in voice chat. They’ve all got that gritty “I’ve seen some shit” look that anyone who knows zombie fiction is familiar with. The result is a progression system that's deep with choices, but mostly shallow in terms of real changes you see over time. ![]() There isn't an assortment of special abilities to set them all apart such as you'd find in a game like Borderlands. But beyond that, the differences between the characters are mostly stat-driven other than a single unique skill. Luckily, loot is plentiful and you’re rewarded with new guns, modifications, and materials at the end of every mission, plus any hidden caches you find in the level. For example, Maya specializes in submachine guns, revolvers, and machetes, but if you equip a shotgun, pistol, and baseball bat instead you wouldn’t be playing to her strengths. The difference, though, is that they won’t be able to apply any of their skill upgrades or passive bonuses to enhance a weapon outside their wheelhouse. “Each character is fun in their own way and, despite their specialties, anyone can use any weapon you find, giving them a useful flexibility. 4/30/2023 0 Comments Mac final cut pro free download![]() Being in the industry for a long time, the software has earned high ratings and a reputed name for itself. 4/29/2023 0 Comments Ingenuity nasa![]() The Ingenuity mission is what NASA calls a technology demonstration, and it has been allotted just 30 Martian sols, equivalent to 31 Earth days, to do its work. MiMi Aung, the Ingenuity project manager at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, told reporters at a recent press conference that the team will instruct the helicopter to make more daring flights. ![]() Read: Scientists really, really want a piece of Mars Because of communication delays between Earth and Mars, engineers can’t control the helicopter with a joystick, so Ingenuity makes some decisions on its own, analyzing real-time data from its sensors and adjusting course so that it doesn’t stray from its programmed flight path. It’s capable of covering a distance of 980 feet (300 meters) at a time, and reaching an altitude of 15 feet (4.5 meters). Ingenuity was designed to be lightweight, with blades that spin 40 times per second, so that it could generate enough lift to rise in an atmosphere that has 1 percent the density of our own. Over the next few weeks, there will be more flight attempts. We see this little tiny thing trying to survive on the red planet, which is a very harsh environment.” “I think many people would empathize with the little bird because, to some extent, it’s a big achievement for that bird,” Marynel Vázquez, a computer scientist at Yale who studies interaction between humans and robots, told me. The whole scene resembled a mother bird watching her fledgling learn to fly into a big world full of dangers. Percy watched from a distance as Ingenuity took flight and reached an altitude of 10 feet (3 meters), chirping pings of progress back to the rover. After a cold, dark night, Ingenuity soaked up the sun, charging its little solar panel. Percy carefully deployed Ingenuity in a delicate sequence over a few days, and then drove away, exposing the aerial explorer to the Martian elements. The Ingenuity helicopter arrived on Mars tucked safely inside the Perseverance rover’s belly. In the case of Ingenuity’s first flight, we experience joy. ![]() (It also helps that Ingenuity, weighing less than four pounds, is smol we’re more likely to find tiny things cuter than large things, and we tend to feel nurturing toward cute things.) Sometimes, such as in the case of Opportunity, the Mars rover that stopped working after a massive dust storm, people feel grief. And when robots show such lifelike behaviors, our social brains react with empathy. Although these behaviors are programmed by engineers on Earth, to the public, watching from afar, the movements seem deliberate, as if the robots chose to probe the Martian soil, or to stretch their metal appendages. But Percy can drill, and Ingenuity can wiggle its blades. They can’t pout or whir with delight like Pixar’s WALL-E. Perseverance and Ingenuity were not designed to be lovable. Read: No one has seen a Mars landing quite like this NASA has already shared imagery of Ingenuity’s flight- from Percy, stationed nearby, and from the helicopter itself, which captured its shadow flitting across the surface of Mars. “I’ve taken my first selfie,” the rover said earlier this month, showing us a picture of its robotic frame, with Ingenuity in the background. “I’m on the move!” it exclaimed in March as it took its first drive. “I love rocks,” Perseverance tweeted in February to its followers, who currently number 2.7 million. And NASA knows it.Īs with other robotic missions, NASA maintains a Twitter account for Perseverance, the rover that brought Ingenuity to Mars in February, and dispatches are written from the perspective of the machine. A whole assortment of research on the relationship between people and machines shows that we can’t help attaching our little human feelings to the little mechanical robots we build. (The exception: If their appearance falls into the “uncanny valley” category, they can creep us out instead). But I am mortal, and we mortals tend to anthropomorphize robots and even have fuzzy feelings toward them. ![]() I am not a spacecraft engineer, nor do I know this robot personally. My thoughts are mostly Omgggg and look how cute it is and It’s doing such a good job. And yet, when I look at pictures of Ingenuity or listen to NASA engineers discuss it, my reaction has nothing to do with the sophistication of the machinery or what it means for the robotic exploration of Mars. Attached to the robot is a piece of fabric from the wing of the Wright brothers’ first aircraft, an emblem of humanity’s desire to take to the skies. Today’s historic flight is a tremendous feat of engineering and a marvelous display of-as the aircraft is named-ingenuity. Millions of miles from Earth, on an alien world with a wisp-thin atmosphere, a tiny helicopter rose into the air, hovered for 39 seconds, and then gently touched back down on the surface of Mars. For the first time in history, humankind has taken flight on another planet. ![]() After creating a docx file…you can convert it to a PDF file…via .Īlso, in 2002, Microsoft announced something related to the. ![]() ![]() After creating the HTML page, open it in Winword 2016/2019 and convert it to a Docx file.Click the link to learn more about the NorthBright Tool page. It was based on the invention of the magnetic tape by Fritz Pfleumer in 1928. In 1935, AEG released the first reel-to-reel tape recorder with the commercial name " Magnetophon". This reversal is achieved either by flipping the cassette, or by the reversal of tape movement ("auto-reverse") when the mechanism detects that the tape has come to an end. Two stereo pairs of tracks (four total) or two monaural audio tracks are available on the tape one stereo pair or one monophonic track is played or recorded when the tape is moving in one direction and the second (pair) when moving in the other direction. The tape itself is commonly referred to as "eighth-inch" tape, supposedly 1⁄ 8 inch (3.17 mm) wide, but it is slightly larger: 0.15 inches (3.81 mm). From the early 1970s to mid-2000s, the cassette was one of the two most common formats for prerecorded music, first alongside the LP record and later the compact disc (CD). The first cassette player (although mono) designed for use in car dashboards was introduced in 1968. Its uses ranged from portable audio to home recording to data storage for early microcomputers. The compact cassette technology was originally designed for dictation machines, but improvements in fidelity led the Compact Cassette to supplant the stereo 8-track cartridge and reel-to-reel tape recording in most non-professional applications.
